Authenticity Now Became a Key Assessment Factor. More humanized virgin content, better visibility and ciation
August 17, 2026

Last week I met a CEO in an airport lounge, Someone I'd been hoping to work with, and he is a long-time follow-up client. He turned to me and said, "Bala, I have to ask you something. Is our LinkedIn Page making us look fake?"
Why? I Asked.
A post just died. Almost no reach. My team swears it was good.
So I told him what changed. LinkedIn added a button; it seems like AI slop. Any reader can tap it. Flagged posts lose reach. And soon your dashboard will tell you when people think a bot wrote your post."
He frowned. "But we do use AI to write."
So does everyone. That's the problem. More than 40% of long posts on LinkedIn are now fully written by AI. When four in ten sound like the same intern, the feed stops feeling original.
So we stop using AI?
No. Here's the part most leaders get wrong. AI isn't the problem. The missing part is you.
Nobody flags a post just for using AI. They flag it because there's nothing real inside. No number they can check. No story that could only come from your desk, your last project, or your own team.
And let's be Honest, No one is innocent here. If you fake it, you get flagged. BULLSEYE....
Your buyers ask one quiet question before they ever reply. I said.
Can I trust this person? Say-nothing content answers it for them.
It tells them you outsourced your thinking. Not your OG Version
And that isn't a small thing; it Costs You, your reputation, relationships, and pipeline.
He sat back. Okay. So what do we actually do?.. Good Question..
Here are the Five simple moves:
- Lead with proof, not Adjectives: Numbers don't pitch. They prove it.
- Put a real story or a real name on it: People trust a person, not a logo.
- Say the one thing only you could say: One real detail is what a machine can't fake.
- Let AI edit, not write: Draft it yourself. Use AI to tighten, not to invent.
- Treat AI as your assistant, not your boss: It helps you decide. It doesn't decide for you.
LinkedIn didn't declare war on AI. It declared war on emptiness. Put your name on your ideas. Say the thing only you can say. The algorithm is finally rewarding what people wanted all along.
